Wells Fargo Policyholders

March 2010 - Wells Fargo Insurance Services has announced they are closing their Salem, Oregon office.  Larger business clients will be serviced out of their Portland and Seattle offices, while smaller business clients will be serviced out of Minneapolis, MN.  They will attempt to service all other policyholders out of additional service centers across the country.

We are not interested in putting down our competitors, nor do we want to create drama where it doesn't exist.  In early February 2010, rumors started that the Wells Fargo agency was closing.  As a professional courtesy to Wells Fargo, their policyholders, and their employees, we made the decision to wait for the formal announcement before offering our services to area policyholders.

Wells Fargo provided a quality service, and employed a number of quality people that were ultimately let go.  We are hopeful our agency will have a position for some of the 24 now former employees, which includes the entire agent force and service staff.

Our Solution

We recognize that many policyholders will accept their assignment to national service centers.  For those that want more personal attention, The Summit Group of Oregon has several options for you.

• We can offer you a no-obligation meeting with one or both of our agency owners to see if we are the right fit for each other.  You are welcome to interview our staff as well.
• Many policyholders will be able to partner with The Summit Group of Oregon and still retain their current insurance company.  For example, if you are insured with the Liberty NW/Safeco group of companies, you do not need to switch carriers in order to work with us.  We represent most of the carriers offered by Wells Fargo - and then some - and you DO NOT have to wait until your renewal to make the switch to our agency.
• Options, choices, and creative solutions.  It's what we do!  We represent over 100 insurance companies, so whether you want to stay the course or investigate other options, we have the resources and commitment to not only get it done, but get it done at the right price.
